Description

So...it's been, what? Ten months since I posted Nidoran? Eight months since I posted the preview image? Well...it's finally here, so you can probably expect to see the next one in...October?

Seriously though, I am so glad to finally have this done, and I hope that you can understand why it took me so long, what with figuring out the biology of a computer-generated "organism", figuring out proper perspective for a figure that is so rectilinear, and...well, it's mostly those two (actually, it's mostly the second one...that took me forever, and were it not for this delightful little piece of work here ([link] (yes, I did print one of these out, and assemble it, so I could draw from observation...freaking polygons)) it would have taken me a lot longer to finish)...(I like parentheses).

Now, for recognitions: First of all, you can all thank (or curse) :iconfractalxavier91: for choosing this delightful subject after correctly guessing the identity of Aerodactyl ([link]) (you know, a year ago). Second, I would like to acknowledge the first to correctly guess porygon's identity via this image ([link]), :iconsmashbrosdude:, who won the opportunity to choose the subject of my 36th "Biology of" project (and may I say, it is an interesting suggestion. ;) Additionally, I would like to acknowledge those of you who are not :iconsmashbrosdude: who correctly guessed the identity of porygon, even though you did not win this prestigious opportunity: :iconsaucylobster::iconoctoboy-the-8th::iconn-i-g-h-t--s-h-a-d-e:

So...I already know my next project, and I'm planning on getting started ASAP, but that doesn't mean I'll have it done any time soon...here's hoping ::crosses fingers::

Oh, and porygon? He's a pokémon...and pokémon belongs to Nintendo and Gamefreak...so...I assume he does as well...hmm...

:pokeball: No. 137 Porygon

"Because they are made of projected light, porygon can alter their appearance to blend in with their surroundings, or even turn the light off."

"Because, as a purely digital 'life-form', porygon do not need to breathe or eat, they are often used for exploration in oxygen-free environments, such as the deep sea, caves rich in toxic gasses, and even the vacuum of space."

"Though created entirely digitally, Silph Co. developed a mobile holographic and force field proector specifically to allow porygon to exist in the material world. The projector floats inside the porygon, projecting a force field to give it mass, and an image over the force field."

"In addition to its projection capabilities, the projector within each porygon is mounted with emitters which enable it to launch energy-based attacks. The standard porygon is outfitted to emit a high-powered laser, a super-charged particle beam, and a blast of liquid nitrogen. Fired together, they are known as the 'Tri-attack'."
