Description

So I managed to clock in at just under six months between this and porygon ([link]), which is technically an improvement, seeing as how before that, it was ten months. Either way, I beat my prediction of October.

Yeah, I'm alive. I've been super busy, and not unlike porygon, this particular project required a lot of thinking outside the box, as you can imagine. In any case, here's the "Biology of Shedinja"

Acknowledgements? Sure, why not. This subject was selected by :icontaokyuubimon: after correctly guessing the identity of Nidoran male (well over a year ago). The first person (of about a billion) to correctly guess the identity of shedinja, and therefore win the opportunity to choose the subject of a future project was :iconchimental:, but it was also correctly guessed by :icondaikaiju-defender::iconoctoboy-the-8th::iconlemu-san: and :iconeeveelution-lover:.

See you in another 6-10 months.

Shedinja and pokemon are property of Nintendo and Gamefreak.

:pokeball: No. 292 Shedinja

"It is said that those who stare into the gap in a shedinja's back will have their soul stolen. Tests have been inconclusive."

"Though the energies that grant shedinja life also grant it unearthly resistance to various hazards, it still suffers a handful of vulnerabilies including fire, complete pulverization, weather and the elements, and of course, other supernatural effects."

"Shedinja remains ravaged by age and weather."

"Shedinja remains found after fire."

"Shedinja remains found crushed under boulder"

"When a nincada sheds its shell, the discarded shell is sometimes inexplicably reanimated. Adding to the eeriness, during the molt, the back of the shell tends to split open, and binding from within is pulled out, forming the visage of wings and a halo, respectively."

"When a nincada reaches full maturity, it molts, shedding its outer 'shell'. The new adult ninjask subsequently abandons the shell. In rare cases, the discarded husk will 'reanimate', exhibiting independent motion and thought. They also exhibit signs of a memory before the molt."

"Discarded husk becomes shedinja"
