Description

Yeah...finally. It was aerodactyl. Come on guys; kabutops has an exoskeleton. :P Look at those legs ([link]) and tell me they look chitiny.

Anyway, the only person to successfully guess the correct identity of this subject was :iconfractalxavier91:...though he guessed it in a group of three (the other two being garchomp or golbat) and I wouldn't normally allow that if somebody else guessed singularly afterword. And yes, :icondinosaurcraig:, I know you guessed correctly too...but it wasn't really a guess since you were the one who got to choose aerodactyl for guessing the identity of "Biology of" 30 ([link]). Nice try buddy. ;)

Anyway...yeah...sorry it took so long, but I hope you all enjoy it. Plus, my winter break starts on the 14th, so hopefully I can get another one done in the month I have off.

Later.

Oh...and aerodactyl is a pokémon, property of Nintendo and Gamefreak.

:pokeball: No. 138 - Aerodactyl

"At full spread, aerodactyls displayed an impressive wing span. At nearly 18 feet, an aerodactyl could glide for extensive periods of time, waiting to spot potential prey."

"Using genetic material preserved in a parasite sealed in amber since ancient times, scientists have managed to reproduce several aerodactyl specimens."

"Though recent developments in bioengineering have allowed for the reproduction of several specimens, aerodactyls have long been an extinct species. Reconstructed fossil remains have revealed many things about the species. Their bones, though very sturdy, were hollow, reducing weight and helping to keep the large flyers aloft."

"Aerodactyls' teeth were long and sharp, perfect for piercing flesh and puncturing major blood vessels in prey."

"Aerodactyls populated mountainous regions, where they could climb to gain altitude, and begin gliding in search of prey."

"Aerodactyls were aggressive hunters, swooping in and going straight for the throat with their needle-like teeth."

Gone is the ponderous weight that aerodactyl is often depicted, in official artwork that is, and instead is a lithe and nimble killer. I must admit this depiction of aerodactyl has quite a sinister vibe, though the notes and hand drawn diagrams are little nuggets of enjoyable artwork and literature. Very Nice :)
