Description

Okay...it's not mudkip...

But it is another colored piece!

This one was a little slow-going at times...but ultimately, I think it came ou pretty well. If you see any gaping flaws in my lighting or anything, by all means, let me know...I just have to open the file and adjust. Hopefully, I won't need to, but if I do, it's pretty easy.

I actually finished this one up today because I have a portfolio review tomorrow, and I really wanted to have another colored piece done (not only because it has the potential of also being chosen for the art show, but also because the people in my art class seem to be such a big fan :D). I was about half done earlier, so if it hadn't been for that, I probably would not have gotten it done today...so I guess you all lucked out!

I hope you all enjoy, and for those of you looking for mudkip, I'll try to get him done next week, but viewing as Brawl comes out this Sunday...I make no promises.

Until then! :D

:pokeball: No. 408 - Cranidos

"Cranidos teeth are small and ridged. Designed for grinding its diet of leaves, seeds, and fruit."

"A cranidos's hard skull enables it to take blows to the head without injury. They use their skulls not only to defend against predators, but also to fight for potential mates."

"When a cranidos charges, its vertebrae align to take the brunt of the blow. If their alignment were just slightly off, impact could result in severe trauma to the spine."

"A cranidos's cranium is very thick, not only to facilitate in defensive impact, but also to protect its brain. Some cranidos actually do receive cracks and scars in their head, but actually splitting the skull is near impossible."

"Like some other pokemon, cranidos were actually extinct for some time. In recent years, scientists have been able to use fossils to clone the creatures, and reintroduce them to the wild."

"The muscle mass in a cranidos's tail is very dense. To counter-balance its heavy skull, a cranidos always keeps its tail held straight out."

An exceptional insight into cranidos. I quite like the weathering. Perfectly captures the character and feel of a page from a field journal, sketched by an avid watcher observing cranidos in the wild. Very nice work :D
